Hydromassage

Various water procedures are used both for general healing of the body and for cosmetic purposes. The popularity and effectiveness of our body are 60% liquid. But, the greatest effect can be achieved by combining water procedures and massage.

The most common type of the above procedures is hydromassage. What is it and how does it affect the body? Let's figure it out, and also find out what underwater hydromassage is and what indications and contraindications it has.

WHAT IS HYDROMASSAGE

This procedure combines thermal therapy, healing baths and massage. Hydromassage can be performed in several ways. But, all of them are based on the positive effect of air-water flows of a certain intensity and heated or cooled water, which together have a beneficial effect on the body.

THERAPEUTIC HYDROMASSAGE

The benefits of hydromassage are invaluable, especially for problems such as:

  • diseases of the musculoskeletal system;
  • sleep disorders;
  • vegetovascular dystonia;
  • erection problems;
  • diseases of the digestive tract;
  • chronic fatigue;
  • dermatitis;
  • weakened immune system;
  • cellulite;
  • soreness and muscle pain of various etiologies.

HYDROMASSAGE FOR SLIMMING

It is carried out in a special bath, which is deeper than the classic hydromassage container, and has a slightly different structure - water enters it through nozzles built into the body.

Liquid is supplied in two modes:

  • jet;
  • bubble.

The first option fights fat deposits and “energizes” a person, and the second one is also aimed at relieving muscle tension.

Such hydromassage (underwater massage) allows you to influence specific areas of the body where the most body fat has accumulated. Usually it is the hips and sides.

After even one session of such a massage, our patients note an unprecedented lightness in the whole body and muscles. But, after half an hour, this feeling is abruptly replaced by energy.

HYDROMASSAGE FOR CHILDREN

There are special types of hydromassage, which are often prescribed for children. Of course, they do not include procedures like Charcot's shower. And usually use baths with bubbles.

Such a procedure, in addition to the therapeutic effect, also brings the child extraordinary pleasure and fun. Such a hydromassage is suitable for children aged 10-12 years.

But, when working with children, a specialist should be extremely attentive to the pressure of water and its temperature regime. The duration of the session must be selected individually.

Children can stay in the hot tub for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Hydromassage can be indicated for immunocompromised children. Also, it has a positive effect on the work of the nervous system, and it is often prescribed to adolescents with various sleep disorders.

HYDROMASSAGE: CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hydromassage is contraindicated in:

  • acute inflammatory processes in the body;
  • severe infectious and viral diseases;
  • benign and malignant neoplasms;
  • diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract;
  • psoriasis, neurodermatitis;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • ischemic heart disease;
  • after a heart attack or stroke.

In all other cases, you should sign up for a hydromassage course both for the treatment of a specific ailment and for preventive purposes.
