Gas injections

What are gas injections? This is a procedure called carboxytherapy (from the phrase "carboxy therapy") and is a modern technique for rejuvenating and healing the skin. The method has no analogs and is considered one of the most effective, painless of its kind. With its help, you can not only restore the natural appearance of the skin but also get rid of stagnant processes in the skin tissue and various trophic disorders.

The procedure is also often called pneumoacupuncture and it involves the introduction of carbon dioxide in a special concentration into the human body. This therapy allows you to:

  • normalize color, increase skin tone and elasticity;
  • smooth out wrinkles on the neck, face, décolleté;
  • strengthen those areas of the skin that sagged (arms, abdomen, chin);
  • have a lipolytic effect on fat deposits;
  • remove scars after surgical and plastic interventions;
  • rid the area around the eyes or dark circles;
  • effectively fight cellulite.

Gas injections are the most common method of carboxytherapy, but the delivery of carbon dioxide to the body can also be carried out using dry baths.

After completing the full course of therapy, the following effects are observed:

  • the quality and structure of the epithelium are noticeably improved;
  • small wrinkles completely disappear, and large ones become barely noticeable;
  • the oval of the face "straightens" - it becomes clearer;
  • not only do dark circles disappear, but also “bags” under the eyes;
  • skin pigmentation becomes almost imperceptible;
  • the sebaceous glands begin to work with normal intensity;
  • congestion and edema pass.

INDICATIONS FOR CARBOXYTHERAPY

Pneumoacupuncture in 99% of cases is prescribed to patients who suffer from a wide variety of ailments and aesthetic skin problems. The technique shows the greatest efficiency when:

  • chronic pain in the joints, which are accompanied by degenerative transformations: arthritis, osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernia;
  • ailments of the cardiovascular system;
  • diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • the pain of unknown origin;
  • disorders in the work of muscles: atrophy, myositis;
  • vein diseases;
  • improper functioning of the reproductive system;
  • cellulite;
  • scars, scars, swelling, and other defects on the skin.

Like all therapeutic methods, gas injections have their pros and cons. Therefore, in addition to direct indications for pneumoacupuncture, it also has a number of contraindications.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR GAS INJECTIONS

When the procedure is prohibited:

  • with acute infectious lesions of internal organs;
  • during an exacerbation of any dermatological ailments;
  • during the period of bearing a child and during breastfeeding;
  • with epilepsy;
  • with open wounds, fractures, gangrene;
  • in acute renal failure.

In all other cases, the procedure is absolutely safe for the human body and allows you to quickly get rid of the above problems.

Carbon dioxide injections have the following advantages over alternative treatments:

  • during carboxytherapy, the patient feels almost nothing;
  • after the procedure there is no need to undergo rehabilitation and recovery;
  • there are no age restrictions since the technique is also safe;
  • the first effect can be felt literally after 1-2 procedures;
  • if there are no contraindications, you will not have to wait for any complications;
  • carbon dioxide is quickly excreted from the body through the lungs and kidneys.

Of course, the procedure is not able to completely rid a person of any disease if, apart from it, a person does not undergo any other treatment. Therefore, doctors always prescribe gas injections as part of complex therapy, along with other therapeutic measures.

HOW THE PROCEDURE WORKS

Of course, in modern medical centers and health complexes, carboxytherapy is carried out exclusively by qualified and experienced doctors. The procedure itself is performed as follows:

  1. The doctor collects the patient's history and determines if there are any direct contraindications to gas injections.
  2. Based on a specific disease and its symptoms, the doctor develops and prescribes an individual course of treatment.
  3. The most problematic areas on the skin, joints that disturb a person, etc. are determined.
  4. On the appointed day, the patient visits the office for carboxytherapy.
  5. The doctor draws the required amount of mixture with carbon dioxide into the injection device and puts a disposable nozzle and a thin needle on the device.
  6. The doctor cuts off problem areas (a burning sensation may be felt in the first couple of minutes, but it quickly passes).
  7. After completing the treatment of all parts of the body, the patient rests for 15-20 minutes, after which he can leave the office.
